I wanted to send residents of the Key Peninsula a huge Thank You for their support to renew the community’s Emergency Medical Services levy. We were humbled to receive more than 80 percent of the vote, and recognize that you have given us a second chance. We won’t let you down.
To those involved in the campaign to "Save your ambulance"- business owners, citizens and members of the fire service- thank you for all your hard work and renewed commitment to this organization. We’ve come through some rocky times, but I feel that we have emerged stronger for it.
To everyone in the community, the Key Peninsula Fire Department will manage these tax dollars wisely as well as the fragile trust you have given us with this vote. I personally will work to ensure the fire department honors the value of both as we move forward.
