Fire Commissioners form a board elected by the public to represent their fire district. The board meets monthly to set budgets, establish policy and provide administrative oversight.
Key Peninsula fire commissioners serve six-year terms. Any resident, 18 years or older, who lives within the Key Peninsula service area is eligible to apply for an open position on the board.
All regular meetings board meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. Meetings are open to the public and offer residents an opportunity for citizen input.
